טיקו
Overview |
Teeko is a two-player abstract board game invented by John Scarne in 1937. |
Board |
Teeko is played on a 5x5 board. There are two players: Black and Red, each having four checkers of the corresponding color.
|
Objective |
The goal of Teeko is place four own checkers in a row (orthogonally or diagonally) or in a 2x2 square. There is a variation of the Teeko game called "Advanced Teeko" that accepts 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 squares as a winning position. |
Play |
The game begins with an empty board. Starting from the player controlling black checkers, players take turns placing one of their own checkers per turn in any unoccupied cell of the board. If neither player has won after placing all eight checkers, players continue the game by moving one of their checkers per turn to an orthogonally or diagonally adjacent unoccupied cell trying to achieve the goal. |
